Radio TWIXTlab
A podcast created following the invitation of TWIXTlab.
10 years ago, what was named the “Arab Springs” was flourishing all over the Arab World, starting a wind of revolt that soon got Europe as well. 15/03/2011 is considered as the 1rst day of the Revolution in Syria, after 41 years of dictatorship. The peaceful struggle for justice and freedom gradually turned into an international war. Despite the despair, exile, destruction & death, the past 10 years were also full of hope, collective initiatives, civic engagement. Artists were active and creative testifying & expressing solidarity. This podcast aims to gather their voices. From the euphoria of the revolt to the emergence of war and the inevitable exile, it aims to be a non-exhaustive sound archive, a compilation of music, soundtracks, film excerpts, & poetry, a journey through an unspeakable human experience, a wave of memories and emotions, a love letter to a country and its people.
